Lego Derby Rules

The only real rules are the size requirements as listed below.  These are to ensure that the car fits on the track and does not disturb other cars on the track.  Also the items on the car should be secured.  Please note that the heavier your car the more likely it will break apart at the end of the race!

We will have four awards for this event.  A first, and second place for speed, one best in show which will be voted on by the boys, and one voted on by the leaders.

We have additional kits available, siblings and parents can join in on the fun!  Contact me and/or your den leader to get one.

Size Requirements:
Width
The overall width of the car must not exceed 2 3/4 inches. The inside wheel width must be no less than 1 3/4 inches so that the car will clear the guide strip on the track (1 1/2″ by 1/4″ strip).

Length
The overall length of the car shall not exceed 7 inches.

Height
The overall height of the car shall not exceed 3 inches
